Water fast..
I just got chewed out for eating a cookie. So, you bitch at me for eating food, you can watch me wither away. I’m going on a two week water fast. Don’t really care what happens. Worst case scenario I end up hospitalized.
Message to the Katniss haters
To all you people criticizing Lawrence for being “too fat” or a tall, big boned woman who is too BIG to play Katniss: watch the movie again and then realize exactly what role YOU would fit in the story.. one of the mindless superficial droids of the Capitol.

Still have 150 calories left today.
I basically just didn’t eat all day, went to see hunger games, and then had dinner (a small piece of steak/salmon lol, a small salad, half a potato). Then I had some rice crackers. That should definitely be no more than 500 so I still have 150 for later.
I don’t know what I will have.. we’ll see later. I probably am not going to lose any weight at all because I eat too much :S
How to be healthy on the SGD (and still lose weight)
I am writing this out for myself but you are free to read and use this information also. The point of this is to highlight ways to maintain health, normal functioning, avoid binges, and still lose weight (without losing it way too quickly). If you lose weight too quickly I can tell you exactly what will happen.. your heart rate will drop, your blood pressure will drop, and whenever you stand up or sit up you’ll be blacked out or pass out. Going to the ER in an ambulance because you passed out in public? Not so fun. note: I’m obviously talking about losing far more than 4-5 lbs a week. So onto the tips that I will use:
How to maintain your health:
-don’t be afraid to eat fruits and vegetables. If you are hungry or getting weak, find some fruits or veggies to eat.
-don’t start cutting things out just because you can. That sort of behavior gets out of hand fast. Trust the rules and follow them.
-take supplements, drink calcium fortified orange juice or put a scoop of it in your smoothies
-with the calories that you do count, make sure a high portion of it is protein
-every day, make sure you eat something with some fat in it. Going too low in fat slows down your brain functioning and can cause weakness (for example: meat, eggs, avocado, a little salad dressing)
How to avoid binges:
-if you are hungry and your calories are all used, eat fruits or vegetables.Even allow yourself to have a massive fruit salad if you need it every once in awhile.
-eat fruits and veggies throughout the day to maintain some fullness (like instead of eating just a little meat put it on top of a salad)
-if there is something you really want to taste, have only one small spoonful and then put the spoon in the dishwasher.. warning!if you feel like you might binge that night avoid this all together. Grab some fruit if needed.
-have a tv show or movie you plan on watching in the evening to distract you. If you have another activity planned that works also.
-talk to somebody face to face or on webcam. Binges are almost always done in secret so don’t let yourself be alone.
-try to become more aware of your triggers.. food and circumstances.
words of wisdom: if you don’t binge now or only do so lightly don’t let yourself fall into this trap. Binging and then purging (from fasting, over exercising, or throwing up) causes a nasty cycle that is very difficult to get out of. If you binge, don’t fast afterwards. Just resume the course and get right back on plan. Trust me, this is the only solution that works. In the future work to avoid binges.
How to still lose weight:
-don’t give up. If you fall off track get right back on once you realize you have to.
-if you follow the rules you will lose weight. It may only be 1-5 lbs a week but seriously it is better than nothing.
-try to go for walks and do things to stay active
-lift weights. I don’t suggest focusing too much on cardio but instead on weights to maintain muscle mass.
-if you are bored do a chore. At least you will be moving around while you do it.
Extra tips:
-restrict how often you get to monitor your progress. Do it too often and fall into the obsessive mind trap where you thing endlessly about nothing other than weight. Honestly, no more than once a week. I personally follow a rule of no more than once every other week. If I think there is a chance I’ll stop eating with a bad result I wait a month.
-don’t rely on diet sodas. They can give you migraines and I think there is some correlation with binge eating. At most stick to one every other day or a few days where you have one a night.
-drink herbal teas at night. Caffeine will only keep you up making it harder to not binge. Herbal gives you some flavor and is comforting.
-if you are like me, don’t even look at your figure in the mirror. Follow the rules and don’t worry about the results. Focus on what you do. This will help to avoid both binges and relapse.

For breakfast I had some cereal (200)
And then for dinner.. scrambled eggs (250) and some cut up stawberries
I may have some other type of vegetable later tonight and some more berries. Everybody else was having pancakes and I thought about eating them but then didn’t. So, that is good.
Rant
Just found out a “friend” who was concerned about how some guy was treating me will be hanging out with him this weekend.
Yeah.
What?
Anybody who still wants to be close to him isn’t going to be in life. Since there is very good reason to believe he had physically assaulted his ex and then lied about it, telling me a BS story about her attacking him with a knife (when in fact the wounds were self inflicted!) he deserves whatever they get. And anybody who still wants to be close to him, out of sheer pathetic loneliness or something, is cut out of my life.

What a bunch of messed up losers. So I don’t even know why I am concerned.. let’s see:
-an ex cult member
-a violent guy who hears voices from his pillow
-a severely bipolar guy who drinks 24/7 and continuously professes love for me when I have hardly even hung out with him. He acted supportive. Guess it was just an act (lame).
Good riddance.
In other news, it is now 11:55 and I still haven’t had my last 100 calories. Gonna do that now. Decided on a large salad so I stay full (with salad dressing).
Restarting the SGD
I totally messed up.. this guy who is harassing me is traveling down here and I became worried he would come and cause trouble. I still don’t know. So, I am restarting the SGD. Not that it matters since my plan was to cycle through it twice. But yeah…. I’ll admit I binge ate. Not as bad as I used to. Won’t say on what because I know how reading about that can be for you all.
Breakfast: smoothie
Dinner: soup with chicken, rice, and vegetables (400)
For my last 100 I’ll probably eat some.. popcorn? And maybe some more fruit later since I’m kinda hungry. Should also drink some tea.
the rule is, if I mess up, I have to start back at day 1. I’m currently on day 4.

Activity:
-went on a short walk this morning on the boardwalk (30 minutes)
-tossed a football with some friends in the park at evening for maybe an hour
-walked at night 3 miles (1 hour)
Food:
breakfast: banana
lunch: salad with dressing and lunch meat (100)
dinner: chicken with potato (200)
I think I did pretty good today.
The pressure is on
From the SGD I mean. I’m starting to get progressively hungrier which at first I thought was bad because it could mean I would have to stop. But then I realized maybe it just means this is going to start working. I think I already have slight results but it only amounts to a slightly trimmer waist. I tend to lose weight from my waist and face first so it takes a while to get results in the arms and thighs.
At first the hunger was discouraging but now I just want to stick to it even more.
Today is the 300 day and then it is uphill from here :)

Trust me it wasn’t good.. I basically stopped eating. Maybe I would have two spoonfuls of cereal one day and then just not eat at all. I was under a lot of stress and it killed my appetite.
